چکیده

Multiobjective formulations are realistic models for many complex engineering optimization problems such as QoS routing protocol for mobile ad hoc network. The paper presents QoS routing protocol for MANET with specialized encoding, initialization, crossovers, mutations, fitness selections and route search using genetic algorithm with multiple objectives. The aim is to find the best QoS route in order to optimize the design of MANET routing protocols. This NP-hard problem is often highly constrained such that random initialization and standard genetic operators usually generate infeasible networlts. The effect of maximum node velocity on the protocol performances is done conclusively shows that QOSRGA had a potential to be the protocol for MANET.

Improving Quality of Service Routing in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks Using OLSR

Mobile ad hoc networks (MANET) are constructed by mobile nodes without access point. Since MANET has certain constraints, including power shortages, an unstable wireless environment and node mobility, more power-efficient and reliable routing protocols are needed. The OLSR protocol is an optimization of the classical link state algorithm. OLSR introduces an interesting concept, the multipoint r...

Design and Performance of QOSRGA Protocol for Mobile Adhoc Networks

QoS Routing for Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) generally posses several challenges that must be addressed. In selecting the best route from source to destination, one has to choose from a set of routes with the corresponding quality of connectivity and resources. Due to the nature of node mobility the protocol demands an exceptional performance. It needs to select a single route with the longest...

QOSRGA Protocol Using Non-Disjoint Multiple Routes in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks

The problem of QoS Routing for MANET posses several challenges that must be addressed. To select the most optimal route from source to destination, one has to choose from a set of routes with the corresponding quality of connectivity and resources. A rationale for multiple routes is presented. We argued that QoS routing protocol should exploit the rich non-disjoint node connectivity over disjoi...
